Journey to Jager: 100 Days and Counting!

My lack of blog posts probably speaks volumes. It's crazy how wedding planning sneaks up on you! Things come along slow and steady.... until they no longer are slow and steady. Before you know it, you are getting reminders in the mail from

Macy's telling you to buckle down, it's four months from wedding day. Wait, wha?

Really, though, I don't mind all the "work."

Breakfast meetings like this one are just fine by me. With a promotion at work, volunteer responsibilities, and wedding planning, however, it can be a bit overwhelming at times. That's when I let Matt talk me down and heat me up a cup of tea. It's a sweet reminder of why I am planning this celebration in the first place :)

After a particularly busy week at work, I am feeling rather accomplished. For one: I submitted my first grant proposal to the National Institutes for Health! It was no easy feat. There were several late nights in the office, a couple times I wanted to pull my hair out (and maybe did a little), but in the end it all got done. And before the deadline! I am proud.

Second: it is official - Matt and I have booked our honeymoon to Costa Rica!

After MONTHS (as documents on this blog) of dreaming, researching, and procrastinating... because that's what I do best... our plane tickets have been purchased and we are prepping for 10 days of wedded bliss in Central America complete with a dip in thermal hot springs along the Arenal Volcano, zip lining through Monteverde, and snorkeling in the coastal waters of Manuel Antonio. I cannot wait.

Yep, it's all getting real. Speaking of, it's now officially less than 100 days to the wedding.

Although it means it's time to start ironing out all of those little details, it also means all the fun stuff I've been dreaming about is about to begin! Tomorrow the celebrations begin with a Kate Spade-themed bridal shower thrown by my sister and Matron of Honor. Can't wait to share all of the details. <3

Countdown to the Big Day: 99 Days! Eep!

Sleep: The other night I dreamt of cake. Cake. I guess this is what happens when four months out from Wedding Day. Not a bad way to dream, if I do say so myself.

Best Moment of the Week: I have lots this week! The pictures I received from my bridesmaids in their beautiful dresses (just came in this week!) and making it all happen with booking that dream Honeymoon :) Also, attending last weekend's wedding (congrats Marcus and Ester!) and realizing it was the last wedding we will attend before our own. That was pretty magic. Also, I am so glad Matt likes to dance at weddings as much as I do. Dance partner for life.

Currently on my Mind: The bridal shower tomorrow!! I could cry I am so happy and excited (my usual Beth emotions are on steroids. This is Bethie the Bride in full force).
