Waffle makers. Mixing Bowls. High-power blenders. Wedding Registry magic.

Matt and I have just immersed ourselves in the world of Martha Stewart and all things kitchen, home, bed and bath. It was both a blessing and a curse as we began the registry at Williams-Sonoma this past week. Holy thousand-piece knife set, there are a lot of things to consider when shopping for your dream kitchen! Do we want to commit to a red-and-white or pearl yellow kitchen for the next 30 years of our lives? Oh the choices!
Ok, first world problems. I am actually having a lot of fun.

[Proof. Not sure how this ended up on my phone, but I think it speaks for itself.]
Also this.

[Snacks as you shop? They know me so well... ]
Given, as I've said before, Matt and I are living with a kitchen for college kids (mismatched dull knives purchased at Marshall's, a blender without a lid, a wine bottle as a rolling pin) we are on over the dang moon. An actual full set of measuring cups!? We thought this day would never come.
Speaking of measuring cups, two magical things happened this week, and I mean this quite literally.
1. Started Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Feels a bit surreal to be reading something Harry Potter that I haven't already memorized. Only I'm a bit conflicted. I had already read about the plot and was expecting it to be kind of sad. I didn't really want to be right though. Help me out of this magical misery!
2. I paired the book with a delicious butterbeer blondie. It was perfect that Miss Jessica Gustin's birthday coincided with my starting to read the latest HP offering. You see, I am a sucker for themed gifts. I love them. When Jessica asked for a Harry Potter shirt for her birthday...

[Cute, yes?]
... I knew I needed to make a fun sweet treat to go along with it. I had a feeling butter beer blondies would be just the thing. And let me tell you, they were just the thing. My house smelled like heaven after baking them and the recipe was such a cinch even a quib could pull them off. Nope, I can't stop with the HP references. Please don't make me.
Here are the blondies in their pre-baked glory.

[Don't they look delicious?]
And post-baked and ready to get in my stomach glory here.

[I do solemnly swear that I am up to no good... ]
For those who need a snack to go along with their second or third reading of this magical knew piece of Harry Potter lore, here it is courtesy of Sugarcrafter. Accio happy belly.
